Research on Precision Positioning and Assembly Welding Technology for Structural Components
Release time:
2025-10-16
Summary
With the accelerating production pace, feedback from frontline quality inspection and manufacturing has become increasingly frequent. Among these, the issues in the welding process of single limbs of laminated mast sections are particularly prominent, specifically manifested as slow positioning speed and significant accuracy deviations.

To solve this production challenge, the JINNTA quickly established a research and development team dedicated to tackling the "precision positioning, assembly and welding technology for structural components". The team meticulously recorded every detail of the operation process, including work procedures, steps, content, time consumption, as well as error frequency, correction time and qualification rate. Eventually, they identified two core issues: "unclear manual positioning benchmarks" and "reduced load-bearing capacity caused by welding stress concentration".After two months, team members conducted repeated recording tests and optimized experiments, leading to the successful development of the "angle steel positioning, assembly and welding device for tower crane laminated standard sections". This device addresses the problem of unclear manual benchmarks through adjustable reference positioning blocks, improving positioning accuracy from ±2mm to ±0.5mm. Meanwhile, it optimizes the welding process to reduce issues such as welding stress concentration, shortening the welding time per set by 30% and increasing the one-time product qualification rate from 72% to 95%.
